We present results from magnetic monopoles in SU (2) lattice gauge theory at finite temperature. The lattices are 16 3 × N t , for N t = 4, 6, 8, 12, at β = 2.5115. Quantities discussed are: the spacial string tension, Polyakov loops, and the screening of timelike and spacelike magnetic currents.

Properties and temperature behavior of π and σ bound states are studied in the framework of the nonlocal model with a separable interaction kernel based on the quark Dyson-Schwinger and the meson Bethe-Salpeter equations. Mπ(T ), fπ(T ), Mσ(T ) and Γσ→ππ(T ) are considered above and below the deconfinement and chiral restoration transitions.

We calculate the self-energy at finite temperature in scalar λφ theory to second order in a modified perturbation expansion. Using the renormalisation group equation to tame the logarithms in momentum, it gives an equation to determine the critical temperature.
